Stuart Barton was QE2's DJ from 1979 to 1986. During that time Stuart had his own highly popular radio show where he interviewed various celebrities and entertainers who sailed QE2.
Stuart's voice was familiar to both . passengers and crew as each day his announcements were broadcast over the ship's tannoy.
Among Stuart's many responsibilities was the Life Boat Drill announcement which was played from QE2's bridge. He has been so kind as to contribute this recording so that we may today take part in an actual life boat drill aboard this historic liner.
The broadcast is in three parts as would correspond to the various stages of the exercise but will play as one file.
